Overnight, the US and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire shortly before the expiry of a deadline set by Donald Trump, who had earlier warned that “a whole civilisation will die tonight.”
Tehran said it would temporarily reopen the Strait of Hormuz and confirmed it would enter talks with Washington on Friday in Pakistan, in a bid to chart a path towards ending the conflict.
