The European Defence Agency (EDA) on Wednesday outlined in its annual report a year of steady progress in boosting joint procurement, innovation and industrial cooperation across the bloc.

Matchmaking platform gains traction
First tested in 2025, the agency’s government-to-government platform to match national projects and capability needs will be rolled out permanently this year due to its success, the EDA said.
The platform is meant to support European collaboration and give individual EU countries an overview of what kind of military projects their neighbours are currently working on and what they need.
According to the report, 340 users from 26 EU countries and seven partner countries published more than 400 projects and over 50 capability needs.
